By accepting the request submitted by the Order of Saint Augustine in Algiers, the Foundation joined the international cooperation project to restore the Basilica of Saint Augustine of Hippo in Annaba.
Situated on the hilltop a few kilometers from Algiers, this is not just a place of worship, meeting point for different religions and a trans-cultural and trans-religious site endorsing. According to the latest data eighteen thousand tourists, including Catholic, Muslim and Jewish youths, scholars and students, and students, visit the Basilica every year.
