Intercultural dialogue is even more important if one considers that the Mediterranean area is very regrettably the scene of the ancient Arab-Israeli conflict. It is now quite evident that politics alone are unable to manage a peace process, whereas the immaterial force of culture is crucial to winning this challenge and encourages social progress through cooperation programmes.
