The database of Voluntary Organisations observes the evolution of this phenomenon. It offers the world of volunteers and any other interested party (public and private institutions, citizens, researchers and potential users of the associations’ activities and services) ample and detailed information. Hence the database contains indispensible information and observations on which any involvement, enhancement and support to the organisations may be based.

The database was last updated in 2006, when over thirty-five thousand organisations and 1.225.00 volunteers, of which over fifty per cent were regular, were estimated to be operative and a national sample of 12.685 units was examined.

This section contains the National, Regional and Local reports on Voluntary Organizations written after the last survey.
